PNN Technologies Inc. is a privately funded company headquartered in the Washington DC area. PNN Technologies is a premier developer of  Plausible Neural Network technologies, co-invented  by Dr. Yuan Yan Chen and his son Joseph Chen.

A statement form Dr. Yuan Yan Chen, president of PNN Technologies, describing the origin of Plausible Neural Networks.

"A decade ago, I have found a way to unify probability theory and fuzzy sets theories into a single framework of statistical inference. Recently I have discovered the relationship between neural networks, information, statistics and fuzzy sets theories, which has shed light onto the mystery of how the brain’s higher order cognition network is organized and how logic is computed. Now the brain’s higher order cognition can be linked to lower levels of the perception system, and therefore be understood. Using my theory, I have developed a neural network model called Plausible Neural Network, which can demonstrate the propriety of this approach."
